As a Shift Manager at J.V. & SONS, INC. (DBA McDonald's), you will play a crucial role in leading the crew members and other managers during your shift to ensure that we deliver exceptional Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to plan for each shift, monitor performance, and take necessary actions to ensure that the team meets the company's standards. You will also be responsible for monitoring safety, security, and profitability while effectively communicating with the next shift manager to ensure a seamless transition and continued success in operations. In this role, you will be tasked with meeting specific targets during your shifts and assisting your assigned departments in achieving their goals. You will complete and verify daily food safety checklists, monitor food safety procedures, and communicate shift targets and goals to all team members. Throughout the shift, you will monitor and communicate progress toward these targets, ensuring that all crew members are aligned and informed. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining stock levels, receiving products, checking order accuracy, and tracking raw and completed waste. You will oversee crew appearance, coordinate breaks, and enforce all applicable labor and employment laws as well as McDonald's policies. Your leadership will extend to monitoring production procedures, finished food quality, and service procedures, while also seeking customer feedback and documenting any complaints in a logbook. You will ensure that cash controls are in place and complete pre-shift checklists and positioning plans to prepare for a successful shift. Your role will also involve conducting regular QSC travel paths, maintaining proper staffing levels, and reviewing training needs for crew members. You will monitor the execution of shift training and ensure that labor controls are in place each hour and each shift. This position requires a commitment to excellence and a proactive approach to managing the team and operations effectively.
