Direct Care Worker

Overview
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Care Workers. As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals in need. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Responsibilities
• Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders
• Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
• Monitor and report changes in individual's health or behavior
• Implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs
• Engage individuals in social and recreational activities
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals

Qualifications
• Experience working with people with autism, dementia, developmental disabilities, or in long-term care settings is preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting if required
• Knowledge of caregiving principles and practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and compassion towards those in need
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Certification in areas such as social work or home care is a plus
• Proficiency in patient monitoring techniques
