The Athletic Field Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of athletic properties at the University of Alabama. This role includes managing field preparation, layout, and painting in compliance with NCAA and SEC regulations, as well as coordinating with coaching and operations personnel to ensure optimal field conditions. The manager supervises staff, addresses field maintenance issues, and collaborates with marketing for promotional events that may affect fieldwork.
Responsibilities
? Oversee daily operations and maintenance of athletic fields.

? Manage preparation, layout, and painting of field markings according to NCAA and SEC rules.

? Coordinate field maintenance schedules with coaching and operations personnel.

? Supervise staff on field maintenance tasks and ensure safe work procedures are followed.

? Recognize and report problems or changes with fields or equipment.

? Liaise with marketing regarding promotions impacting fieldwork.

? Attend operations meetings to advise on field conditions and schedules.

? Assist with football field painting and ornamental groundskeeping as needed.
Requirements
? Associate's degree and four years of experience in field maintenance/management with a professional, minor league, or NCAA Division I sports team; OR bachelor's degree and two years of experience; OR master's degree with some experience in field maintenance/management.

? Valid U.S. driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.

? Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

? Ability to meet physical demands including lifting 50 lbs and walking one mile unassisted.
