Locations and Placement:

If you are interested in the opportunity to live in different parts of the country while learning how to be a strong finance business partner to the Operations organization, then this is the program for you. OFRP is a rotational program and requires the willingness to relocate multiple times throughout the U.S. during the two-year program. All participants will start the program in a field-based role that could be located anywhere in the U.S., prior to transitioning to HQ based roles that are primarily based in Nashville and Seattle. This program is not solely based in Nashville. Location placements are determined roughly 90 days before the start date. Location is not confirmed at the time of accepting an offer. Placements are determined based upon business need but do take into consideration individual location preferences. This is not a virtual role as onsite collaboration and partnership are critical to participant success.

The Operations Finance Rotation Program (OFRP) - Operations Financial Analyst role is an intensive two-year, entry-level undergraduate rotational program spanning four 6-month assignments in preparation for large leadership roles in finance. Candidates are placed throughout various locations in the U.S. on finance teams that support an aspect of customer fulfillment. What is fulfillment you ask? Fulfillment is how we refer to completing or fulfilling a customer's Amazon.com order to meet or exceed their expectations. The program combines ongoing training opportunities and challenging job assignments to equip you with a foundation of operational knowledge and exceptional financial, business, leadership, and technical skills. The program is led by senior Amazon professionals and mentors that are committed to developing financial leaders for exciting careers. All participants begin the program placed at a Fulfillment Center (FC), or an Amazon warehouse, for the opportunity to spend time learning the Operations first hand. This time spent in a field role is essential to becoming a strong business partner within Operations Finance. This rotational program will offer you the opportunity for accelerated career growth, and provides exposure to business leaders in a culture that recognizes and rewards excellence. After successful completion of this rotational program, participants are expected to take on financial leadership positions supporting one of Amazon's many business units. Successful candidates will bring diverse perspectives and varied experiences (whether from school, life, or past jobs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Partnering with operational leadership and frontline associates to identify, develop, and enact process improvements within the supply chain process.

• Participating in daily and weekly planning discussions with senior leadership.

• Maintaining and improving financial reporting to support and challenge business decisions.

• Conducting financial analysis to help identify capital investment requirements and/or cost reduction opportunities.

• Designing and maintaining insightful reporting to drive action of business partners using Excel/VBA/SQL.

• Analyzing operational metrics, conducting root cause analysis, and communicating financial impact across Finance, Operations and other support departments.

• Exposure to both variable and fixed budgeting and reconciliation on a weekly, monthly, and yearly level, upwards of $250MM.

Important Notes:

• Willingness to relocate multiple times throughout the U.S. during the two-year program is required.

• Full-time recruitment will occur during September 2023- November 2023.

• This position will start Monday, August 5, 2024. Start date is not flexible.

• Remote or virtual work options are not available for this role, and all work must be conducted in-person.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Are 18 years of age or older

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in finance, economics, accounting, supply chain management, operations and information systems, business administration and management, or related field (or a dual degree/submatriculation Master's degree program you are completing concurrently with your bachelor's degree at the same school) with a graduation conferral date between December 2023 - June 2024.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Desire and ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment.

• Fluency in Excel; experience in SQL, VBA, PowerBI and other data visualization software a plus.

• Strong academic, leadership, and/or extracurricular record.

• Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication with a keen focus on delivering business results.

• Demonstrated track record in using data and metrics to make decisions and build scalable solutions.

• Ability to influence across all levels of an organization.

• Ability to act strategically and make decisions under ambiguity.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
