Minimum qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.  8 years of experience with penetration testing and red teaming functions, including network, web application, mobile, cloud, social engineering, scripting, or tool development.  Experience with people management in a consulting or sales environment.  Ability to travel up to 15% of the time. Preferred qualifications:  Experience implementing or assessing information security implementation or assessment of security controls.  Experience identifying and developing highly performing, technical team members.  Understanding of network protocols, data on the wire, and covert channels.  Knowledge of tools used for wireless, web application, and network security testing.  Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop documentation and explain technical details in a concise manner. About the job As a Security Consultant, you will be responsible for helping clients effectively prepare for, proactively mitigate, and detect and respond to cyber security threats. Security Consultants have an understanding of computer science, operating system functionality and networking, cloud services, corporate network environments and how to apply this knowledge to cyber security threats.As a Security Consultant, you could work on engagements including assisting clients in navigating technically complex and high-profile incidents, performing forensic analysis, threat hunting, and malware triage. You may also test client networks, applications and devices by emulating the latest techniques to help them defend against threats, and will be the technical advocate for information security requirements and provide an in-depth understanding of the information security domain. You will also articulate and present complex concepts to business stakeholders, executive leadership, and technical contributors and successfully lead complex engagements alongside cross functional teams. As a Manager on the Mandiant Red Team Security Consulting team, you will be responsible for assessing and advising clients on both technical and process-based controls for all manner of environments. You will expand the teamÂs capabilities through tool creation, research on offensive techniques, incorporation of threat actor intelligence, internal presentations, and knowledge sharing. You will also identify new business opportunities, assist on difficult engagements, and develop a team of high-performing, technical consultants. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more aboutbenefits at Google. Responsibilities  Manage consulting engagements, with a focus on advanced Red Team operations and penetration tests. Provide both subject matter expertise and project management experience to serve as the Âpoint person for difficult engagements.  Assist with scoping prospective engagements, participating in engagements from kickoff through completion, and mentoring less experienced staff.  Identify, market, and develop new and pull-through business opportunities.  Articulate MandiantÂs capabilities in marketing discussions, proposal efforts, and capability briefings.  Supervise staff, provide feedback and coaching, and grow their technical and consulting skills.
