The Role The Director, or Head of Enterprise Resilience, will lead Marvell's overall Enterprise Resilience program including IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR), Program and Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and Crisis Communication. This role will report to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The Resiliency Program ensures that technology solutions, processes, and teams are designed to meet the requirements for sustaining critical business operations during contingency events and that the required DR capabilities are tested and maintained throughout the life of the solution. Business Continuity Planning ensures that the Technology teams are prepared to sustain their critical business functions when faced with interruptions to people, services, or technologies. The Director, Enterprise Resilience, relies on deep expertise in business continuity management to facilitate planning, delivery, and ongoing validation of DR/BCP capabilities across technology engineering and service management teams and of BC Plans across all Technology teams. Job Responsibilities: Author the Resiliency vision & strategy for the Company, communicate, and coordinate its execution: o Develop Org-wide Crises Communication / BCP / DR process to scale across product teams o Develop a framework for managing the Resiliency lifecycle, including any policies, standards, or tools o Coordinate and collaborate with the Risk Management Department, coordinates the overall BCM Program for the Company o Coordinate and facilitate impact assessments with business partners to determine dependencies of critical business functions on technology products and services and to establish DR requirements o Coordinate and facilitate investment decisions related to the delivery of DR capabilities o Coordinate and facilitate planning efforts across engineering and service management teams to deliver DR capabilities and validate those capabilities through ongoing exercises and testing o Coordinate and collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture Coordination Team to establish standards and design patterns for use in solution designs o Educate and train IT members in practices of technology risk disaster recovery planning Author the BCM vision & strategy for the Technology Department and coordinate its execution: o Coordinate and facilitate planning efforts across Technology domains to establish their respective BC Plans o Coordinate and facilitate ongoing validation and exercising of BC Plans o Coordinate execution of BC Plans in the event of a contingency event o Participate as a member of the Technology leadership team in the evolution of Marvell’s vision and continued implementation of its organizational transformation o Develop BCP documentation that can be shared with customers, and partners o Organize an annual cross-client series of coordinated testing o Develop a process to perform resilience testing and ensure product teams have a yearly schedule and test calendar o Integrate with regulatory requirements. Evaluate existing plans and extend them to cover all major business lines o Lead teams through testing and develop postmortems process Requirements: BS in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent degree with 8+ years of overall information security engineering and technology experience with an emphasis of 5+ years in supporting AWS or Azure environment. People management, including selection, empowerment, guidance, coaching, inspiring, and performance management (this position has no direct reports but leads, coaches and guides other leaders within the org) Business Continuity Management, including IT Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Financial management, including CapEx and OpEx budget planning and execution. Technology fluency of the broad range of current and near-future technologies involved in the delivery of infrastructure and application solutions A focus on, and excellence in, the design of reliable, repeatable processes. Experience managing and collaborating with distributed teams, including offshore third-party organizations and remote employees. Strong oral and written communication skills, with both technical and non-technical people, and the ability to speak in front of large audiences and at executive levels. Strong conceptual structure skills (the ability to deconstruct and organize ideas). Compatibility with the vision of running IT as a business. Expected Base Pay Range (USD) 160,500 - 237,430, $ per annum The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
