Location: Vancouver, BC; Remote.

Start Date: ASAP (or within two weeks’ notice).

Duration: Six (6) months initial contract; extendible for up to another (12) months.

Project / Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Solution Architect for digital health strategies and business transformations to support Client in building/supporting platform focusing on the end user and the end-to-end health services journey for everyone in British Columbia. Perform analysis of business requirements and business processes, identifying technical specifications, and translating these into technical architectural system designs and occasionally prototypes. Recommend architectural solutions that satisfy technical/functional requirements and align with the enterprise strategy. Enhance and validate proposed conceptual architectures. Lead meetings with subject matter experts with the goal of developing and validating current state, transitional and target architectures. Perform other related duties as needed and/or assigned.

Responsibilities / Deliverables:

The Sr. Enterprise Solution Architect responsibilities/deliverables may include, but may not be limited to:
• Performing analysis of business requirements and business processes, identifying technical specifications, and translating these into technical architectural system designs and occasionally prototypes.
• Recommending architectural solutions that satisfy technical/functional requirements and align with the enterprise strategy.
• Enhancing and validating proposed conceptual architectures.
• Fully participating in regular and ad-hoc meetings to support timely provision of information related to design decisions, progress, status, issues, risks, and solutions related to project deliverables.
• Leading meetings with subject matter experts with the goal of developing and validating current state, transitional and target architectures.
• Developing roadmaps and approaches to transition from current state to the planned future state architecture.
• Collaborating with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams across multiple organizations to complete assigned tasks and deliverables.
• Documenting all findings and recommendations.
• Transitioning project deliverables to Operations if applicable
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

Experience / Skills Requirements:

The Sr. Enterprise Solution Architect should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

1. A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a degree in Computer Science or related discipline and related experience in a large, complex organization, including but not limited to, enterprise architecture, project management, systems analysis, application development, and operations.

2. Ten (10) year’s recent, related experience in Enterprise/Solution Architecture and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups.

3. The successful candidate will possess prior experience with large organizations in the healthcare space.

4. Experience working with HL7 FHIR is desirable, as well as other Health Standards and related technologies and terminologies.

5. Solid experience in designing systems with performance, latency, load management, and compute-power in mind.

6. Experience with Microservice-led design to ensure of components.

7. Desired: Experience with data driven system and Big Data to offer truly personalized healthcare is a definite asset.

8. Desired: Experience/ability in Intelligent Data Aggregation and advanced analytics that can generate intelligent, personalized care recommendations.

9. Desired: Experience with Cloud native technologies to leverage out-of-the-box (OOTB) features.

10. Desired: Experience/Understanding of Evolving Research and Adaptive Decision-Making withability to architect/design systems that can detect outcomes based on triggers derivedfrom data and novel artificial intelligence rules (rules engines).

11. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts and topics in plain language to non-subject matter experts and build consensus and credibility among diverse stakeholder groups.
