Job Description:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024/2025 school year. This is a full-time, remote position, serving students in South Carolina. The ideal candidate will hold a South Carolina Special Education Multi-Categorical License and have experience teaching in a self-contained classroom. Previous virtual teaching experience is highly preferred, and we are looking for someone with a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities: Â Provide direct virtual instruction to students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting. Â Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. Â Collaborate with other educators, staff, and parents to ensure the success of students. Â Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment. Â Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust instructional methods as needed. Â Communicate regularly with families and school administration regarding student progress. Â Participate in meetings and trainings as required by the school district. Â Adhere to all special education laws, regulations, and district policies.
Requirements: Â Must hold a current South Carolina Multi-Categorical Special Education License. Â Minimum of 3 years of onsite Special Education teaching experience in a classroom setting. Â Previous virtual teaching experience is strongly preferred. Â Comfortable teaching in a self-contained classroom with students of varying needs and abilities. Â Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication. Â Must be willing to work as a 1099 Independent Contractor. Â Must possess general liability insurance.
Compensation and Benefits:
 Hourly Pay: Negotiable based on experience.
 Weekly Pay: Direct deposit.
 Independent Contractor: Flexible schedule and work-from-home benefits.
