Posting Summary Reporting to the Director of the Fleming Museum of Art, the Manager of Marketing & Communications is a member of the Fleming Museum's team of eight full-time staff. The Manager of Marketing & Communications contributes specialized expertise across the Fleming's all-staff, team-based operations, including planning and implementing exhibitions and public programming, engagement, visitor services as well as manage marketing and communications strategy, membership program, and other administrative and facilities responsibilities for the Museum. Work with colleagues from other university departments, including CAS, UVM Strategic Communications, and School of the Arts to fulfill university-wide goals and standards, and with UVM Foundation and Alumni Association staff in areas of Museum membership and annual giving strategies. Assist Fleming Director with advisory board administration and stewardship. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of related marketing and communications experience. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and willingness to work in a team environment. Desirable Qualifications Experience working in museums, nonprofit arts organizations, and/or higher education settings. Effective management skills in areas of marketing, membership, and/or general administration desired. Substantial knowledge of art museum field, specifically academic art museums, highly desirable.
