Description:POSITION SUMMARY
The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring product quality.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
 Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement in quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
 Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance process performance, including the design and implementation of new equipment, tools, or methodologies.
 Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
 Conduct experiments, data analysis, and statistical evaluations to optimize process parameters and ensure product quality meets or exceeds specifications.
 Participate in the development of process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
 Provide technical support for production activities, including equipment setup, operation, and maintenance.
 Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in process engineering to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
 Support new product development and scale-up activities by providing technical expertise and conducting feasibility studies.
 Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment for potential integration into manufacturing processes.
 Contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at improving overall operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
WORKING CONDITIONS
 Work involves lifting materials and product up to 25 pounds.
 Work involves standing, walking, and lifting during work day
 Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable or hazardous.
 Noise level is normal for a manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and EDUCATION
 Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field required
 6 months-2 years experience within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
 Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
 Demonstrated project management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
 Knowledge of process optimization techniques, Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical analysis.
 Basic understanding of quality management systems, i.e., ISO standards.
 Proactive mindset with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as contribute effectively in a team environment.
 Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as project demands require.
 Experience with CAD software
