The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team resides within the Public Affairs division of the Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, Florida, and collaborates with internal partners across the entire company to address the most critical areas of need within our communities. We create magic inside our parks by granting wishes to critically ill children and their families. We also extend the magic of Disney into our communities through volunteering and making significant financial and non-financial investments in causes that make a difference every day in the lives of those around us.
What You Will Do

Because no social responsibility issues are alike, you┬ĺll gain experience working across multiple areas to help collaborate and build dimension to our initiatives, which ultimately lead to lasting positive impacts in our communities! As assigned, you┬ĺll assist with project management, issue development, strategy and implementation, special events, and driving relevant tactics.
On any given day you might
┬Ľ Assist with the identification and tracking of issues relevant to Walt Disney World through research and analysis.
┬Ľ Work with community nonprofits to better understand their challenges and barriers.
┬Ľ Provide support for internal processes to help bridge the gaps of community needs through in-kind donations, uniquely Disney support, and grants.
┬Ľ Work with internal and external partners to plan, support, and implement special events, Disney VoluntEARS, campaigns, and drives.
┬Ľ Telling the Disney CSR story creatively and relatively to help boost a positive reputation and shed awareness to causes we support.
┬Ľ Additional project work as assigned by External Affairs leadership.

┬Ľ Validated computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and/or MAC OS environment.
┬Ľ Ability to function in an ambiguous work environment.
┬Ľ If selected for an interview with the hiring manager, you will need to complete a writing assignment showcasing your writing skills

It Would Be Great If You Have/Are Familiar With
┬Ľ Experience volunteering or supporting nonprofit causes.
┬Ľ Previous writing experience in a professional setting.
┬Ľ Understanding of emerging and current issues that could impact Walt Disney World.
┬Ľ Disney College Program Alumni.
┬Ľ Strong creative skills with confirmed ability to craft and develop collateral, and presentations.
Education
┬Ľ Pursuing a bachelor's degree (or recent graduate) in Nonprofit Management, Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related major.
┬Ľ Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: ┬Ľ Be at least 18 years of age ┬Ľ Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program. ┬Ľ Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information
┬Ľ Be aligned with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
┬Ľ Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
┬Ľ The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025.
┬Ľ Must be able to work FULL-TIME hours (approximately 40 per week) for the duration of the internship.
┬Ľ Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
