We are seeking a highly motivated UX Researcher to join our Digital Experience team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about understanding user behavior and leveraging insights to create impactful design solutions. As a UX Researcher, you will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to identify research needs, conduct studies, and provide actionable recommendations that enhance the user experience across United Airlines digital products.
<>Key Responsibilities: Â Research Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define research objectives and determine the appropriate research methodologies (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing, ethnographic studies). Â Conduct Research: Execute qualitative and quantitative research studies to gather user insights, including usability testing, contextual inquiries, and user interviews. Â Data Analysis: Analyze research data and translate findings into actionable insights that drive design and product decisions. Â Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure research findings are incorporated into product strategies and design solutions. Â Present Findings: Create compelling presentations and reports to effectively communicate research insights to stakeholders at all levels. Â Advocate for the User: Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring user needs are at the forefront of the design and development process. Â Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX research, and apply these insights to improve research processes and methodologies.
<>Qualifications: Â Education: Bachelor s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field. Master s degree preferred. Â Experience: Â 3+ but max 5 years of experience in UX research, preferably within the airline, travel, or e-commerce industry. Â Proven track record of conducting user research that has influenced product and design decisions. Â Skills: Â Strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Â Proficiency in research tools such as UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, and others. Â Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Â Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences. Â Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Â Preferred Skills: Â Experience with designing and conducting remote usability studies. Â Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD. Â Experience working in agile development environments.
