Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for Paraprofessional positions as Special Education Personal Care Assistants for the 2023-2024 School Year. This is an ongoing need. Applications are screened upon receipt and hiring occurs on a rolling basis. These are full-time, on-site, permanent positions working directly with students with special needs throughout the educational setting. Positions are available in elementary, middle, and high school assignments, and in Learning Support, Life Skills Support, Autistic Support (ABA), and Emotional Support classrooms. Personal Care Assistants assist in the academic, social/emotional, and behavioral development of students in accordance with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) by: Engaging with students and staff Performing instructional support tasks like supervision, tutoring, and coaching Performing behavioral support tasks like communicating positive expectations, prompting/signaling, and redirecting Performing clerical support tasks like organizing materials and recording progress and observations See attached job description for more details. Schedule: Monday-Friday 7 Hours/Day Between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:45 PM depending upon location 190 days during the regular school year (summers, weekends and holidays off) Rates: Starting wages are either $15.41 (approx. $20,495 annual) or $15.46 (approx. $20,561 annual) per hour, for new hires to the District, depending upon previous school district experience. Perks: These permanent positions enjoy continued employment from year to year that is eligible for: Paid time off in the form of sick and personal days Health, dental and vision insurance after successful completion of a 90 day probationary period: Health insurance plan (2023-2024 Rates $100 once per month individual; $175 once per month all other levels) individual or family coverage options with a monthly employee contribution at an affordable cost most in-network provider services are covered at 100% with no deductible low co-pays for most prescription drugs Employer paid dental and vision insurance plans OR semi-annual stipend in lieu of health benefits if otherwise insured Employer paid $40,000 in life insurance Enrollment in PSERS pension programs Academic reimbursement QUALIFICATIONS In order to be eligible for these paraprofessional positions, the applicant must meet at least the following criteria: Be a high school graduate or posses a GED, AND 1) Have completed at least two (2) years of postsecondary study, OR 2) Possess an associates degree or higher, OR 3) Complete a series of job-based trainings during the first year of employment, and continuing education credit hours during subsequent years.
