Job Responsibilities:

In this role, you will work closely with experienced attorneys handling complex legal matters. Responsibilities include:

  • Legal Research & Writing: Conduct in-depth legal research and draft high-quality memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Client Interaction: Develop strong professional relationships with clients by understanding their legal needs and providing sound advice.
  • Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters, including medical malpractice defense and other civil disputes.
  • Depositions & Discovery: Handle depositions, prepare witnesses, attend hearings, and effectively manage the discovery process.
  • Trial Preparation: Collaborate with senior attorneys during trial preparation and provide litigation support as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits:

This role offers a competitive base salary of $95,000 to $125,000 annually, with subjective and objective annual bonuses. The firm also provides benefits including health insurance, 401(K) retirement plan + 11% profit share annually, front-loaded paid time off, paid holidays, and more.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and current membership in the Oregon State Bar.
  • 1+ years of experience in civil litigation, or transferable areas, like family or criminal law
  • Strong writing and analytical skills in the preparation of legal documents.
  • Experience conducting depositions or hearings is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple matters efficiently in a dynamic environment.
