About the position
As a Project/Task Sr. Manager (Information Technology) at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in transforming technology into opportunities by managing various customer-facing IT projects. This position involves planning, executing, and overseeing complex tasks related to enterprise systems integration, data maintenance, and project analysis. You will work closely with clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while also providing innovative solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Responsibilities
- Plan and manage various customer-facing IT projects. ,
- Facilitate, manage, and execute project activities from large or complex tasks. ,
- Coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, customers, and other personnel. ,
- Design and develop project baseline schedules and maintain integrated master schedules. ,
- Monitor and maintain status schedule progress. ,
- Communicate effectively with staff members and clients for schedule developments and updates. ,
- Provide technical, administrative, and operational management to assigned projects. ,
- Participate in the development of technical project plans, proposals, and reports. ,
- Manage risk tracking processes and attend customer meetings as a client liaison. ,
- Ensure quality assurance of project deliverables.
- Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience. ,
- 5+ years of related experience in project management. ,
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required. ,
- Top Secret/SCI clearance preferred.
