Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Strategy and Governance is a core department within the Enterprise and Operational Risk Management (EORM) organization and is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and continuously improving Schwab?s ERM Program. ERM Strategy and Governance supports Schwab in managing and mitigating risks within risk appetite across risk categories using a consistent risk management process that enables effective risk identification and assessment, response, measurement and monitoring, and reporting and escalation through Schwab?s integrated risk governance structure.

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Senior Manager, EORM to join our team and lead the evolution of the Strategic and Reputation Risk programs, supporting enterprise risk assessment programs, including Legal Entity Change, Product and Services Risk and Project Risk, and supporting execution of the Second Line of Defense Risk Assessment Program. This role requires a proactive approach to learning new areas of business, contributing to projects outside of the immediate scope, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet Corporate Risk Management objectives.
? Refine and execute the multi-year continuous improvement roadmaps for the Strategic and Reputation Risk Programs, including annual review and update of related methodologies.
? Facilitate the annual second line of defense strategic risk assessment, including synthesizing outcomes for consideration in the development of the long-term corporate strategic plan.
? Analyze relevant data to report on current state and actionable insights for Strategic Risk and Reputation Risk to senior management and risk management committees.
? Support administration and continuous improvement of the 2LOD Risk Assessment Program, including execution of the multi-year roadmap.
? Co-lead the second line of defense risk assessment Community of Practice and communicate risk program value, roadmaps, and success metrics across a broad set of stakeholders.
? Support technology enablement across risk programs, including sourcing business requirements, supporting testing and deployment, and managing related change implementation.
? Support quality assurance and adherence monitoring across risk programs, including assuring the appropriate risk response and remediation.
? Develop and deliver training for second line of defense top-down and enterprise risk assessments.
? Engage with internal audit, executives, external parties, and regulators, and support the remediation of internally identified and regulatory issues related to EORM.

What you have

Required Qualifications
? 8+ years of work experience within a financial services environment.
? Extensive expertise applying risk management frameworks, methodologies, and tools within a financial services context, coupled with a thorough understanding of governance principles and practices.
? Bachelor?s degree.

? Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in all businesses and at all levels of the firm.
? Excellent visualization and presentation skills with the ability to inform and persuade both verbally and through written communication to achieve business strategy and risk management objectives.
? Comfortable facilitating meetings independently and effectively with all levels of management.
? Strategic thinker with a bias for action and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple risk activities in a changing environment.
? Ability to act decisively in making solid, informed decisions in response to the critical regulatory environment and the day-to-day business issues.
? Proven success anticipating potential obstacles and developing contingency plans to overcome them.
? Strong attention to detail.
? Comfort level with ambiguity and managing effectively in the face of shifting priorities
? Curious disposition.
? Outstanding collaboration skills with experience with building partnerships.
? Expert level proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint; working knowledge of SharePoint.
