The Secondary English Teacher at ACYR/City View High School is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering educational courses that align with educational standards and meet the diverse needs of students. The role emphasizes positive youth development principles and aims to foster self-sufficiency among students through strong partnerships and effective communication.
Responsibilities
? Plan, prepare, and deliver courses within set timeframes, ensuring alignment with educational standards and student needs.

? Develop course curricula with goals, objectives, methods, assignments, and instructional aids, executing lesson plans effectively.

? Create and implement individualized education plans, regularly assessing and adjusting based on student achievements.

? Use diverse instructional methods to cater to different learning styles, fostering effective communication with students.

? Document and track student progress, maintain accurate records, and submit grades promptly to the Registrar.

? Monitor and address individual student talents, abilities, and challenges to enhance learning outcomes.

? Foster positive self-esteem and individual development in students across physical, social, emotional, and cognitive aspects.

? Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues, aligning with the school's educational philosophy.

? Attend required training, conferences, staff, and parent/guardian meetings.

? Compile and report statistical data showcasing student and school progress.

? Implement effective classroom management strategies for a conducive learning environment.

? Maintain equipment and materials efficiently, ensuring orderly classrooms and storage areas.

? Perform assigned duties and remain flexible in adapting to evolving program tasks.
Requirements
? Hold a bachelor's degree in the relevant subject area or possess 24 or more semester hours of study in the appropriate field.

? Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
