The Public Health Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the Special Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) in Jackson County. This role involves significant supervisory responsibilities, including training, evaluating, and managing staff, as well as ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The incumbent will coordinate WIC services across multiple counties, provide nutrition assessments, and promote excellent customer service while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
? Supervise and evaluate employees, including planning and directing their work.

? Develop performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.

? Coordinate and supervise all aspects of the WIC program operations.
,
? Serve as the WIC Coordinator for Jackson County, ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines.

? Provide nutrition assessment and counseling to high-risk participants.
,
? Monitor and manage food delivery systems and vendor management.
,
? Develop and update the Nutrition Education Program Plan for state submission.
,
? Certify participants for WIC in accordance with federal requirements.
,
? Document client interactions using the SOAP method of Problem Oriented Recording.

? Promote breastfeeding education and support to meet target indicators.
Requirements
? Must be a licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in accordance with Florida Statutes Chapter 468 or eligible to practice Dietetics.

? Completion of the Florida Nutrition Training Guide is required.

? Competent keyboard skills and ability to learn the WIP computer system.
,
? Ability to maintain client confidentiality and interact professionally with the public.

? Current driver's license required.
