As a Universal Banker, you will play a crucial role in managing customer interactions and ensuring their banking needs are met efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for handling a variety of banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments, while also cross-selling bank services to enhance customer relationships. Your role will require you to exercise independent judgment under close supervision, ensuring that all transactions are conducted accurately and in compliance with bank policies and regulations. In addition to managing transactions, you will attend to the needs of both current and prospective customers, recommending and explaining banking products and services. You will also be responsible for opening and closing safety deposit boxes, maintaining confidentiality, and resolving customer complaints. Your ability to research and address customer issues will be vital in ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. As a Universal Banker, you will also provide notary public services and perform various clerical functions to support the banking operations. This position may require occasional travel within your assigned floater area and possibly outside of it to meet business needs. You will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and accuracy in all your duties, contributing to the overall success of Colony Bank. Responsibilities
? Handle a variety of transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and payments.

? Cross-sell bank services to enhance customer relationships.

? Attend to customer needs and recommend banking products and services.

? Open and close safety deposit boxes while maintaining confidentiality.

? Resolve customer complaints and research issues as needed.

? Provide notary public services to customers.

? Perform clerical functions such as sorting and counting currency and coins.

? Maintain accurate records of transactions and balance cash drawers.

? Comply with federal and state laws and bank policies and procedures.

? Complete required training and other duties as assigned.

Requirements
? High school diploma or equivalent required.
,
? Previous teller experience is required; previous banking experience is preferred.
,
? Thorough knowledge of teller procedures and general bank operations.
,
? Understanding of bank policies, procedures, and products.
,
? Ability to handle routine and complex transactions accurately.
,
? General clerical and math skills are necessary.
,
? Strong sales and service skills with the ability to persuade customers.
,
? High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
,
? Ability to use office equipment and software including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice-to-haves
? Experience in sales is preferred.

? Certified Notary Public license is a plus.
