The Director of Nursing assumes authority, responsibility, and accountability for the delivery of nursing services in the facility, allocates department resources in an efficient and economic manner to enable each guest to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.

Responsibilities
? Forms alliances with different sectors, healthcare professionals, counselors, and entities, like government departments, in order to craft, bolster, and synchronize guest care, linked administrative responsibilities, and to safeguard the welfare of the establishment.
? Ensures that the department aligns with the facility's regulations set by federal, state, and local authorities.
Qualifications
? Someone who has successfully completed a program at a reputable nursing institution.
? Holding a current, valid RN license or a temporary RN license from the State Board of Nursing, or having a compact RN license is mandatory prior to the date of hire.
? Holding a current license is imperative for RNs to continue their practice legally
? Verifiable experience of one year or more as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing facility, or similar health care environment is mandatory.
? Having worked with vulnerable adults is a plus.
? The preferred candidates will have a verifiable history of at least six months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing techniques.
