Masonry Apprenticeship and Workforce Program Coordinator

An apprenticeship coordinator, working in a workforce development context, facilitates the development and implementation of apprenticeship programs, acting as a liaison between educational institutions, employers, and apprentices, and ensuring program quality and success.

? Key Responsibilities: ? Program Development & Implementation:

Develop, implement, and maintain apprenticeship programs, ensuring they align with industry needs and best practices.
? Liaison & Collaboration:

Serve as a bridge between educational institutions, training providers, employers, and apprentices, fostering strong partnerships.
? Needs Assessment:

Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and develop or modify training programs accordingly.
? Training & Development:

Plan, develop, and deliver training programs, including on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and other methods.
? Apprentice Support:

Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to apprentices throughout their program, addressing any concerns or challenges.
? Monitoring & Evaluation:

Monitor apprentice progress, evaluate program effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement.
? Documentation & Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of apprentice information, program activities, and training materials.
? Resource Allocation:

Assist in allocating resources to best accomplish program goals.
? Promote and Attend Events:

Actively promotes and attends, when needed, college events to support apprentices.
? Facilitate Action Plans:

Facilitate the development of an action plan for performance issues when warranted.

? Staff Liaison for the Workforce Committee and the Apprenticeship Committee

o Ensure the delivery and growth of quality programs for workforce and the effective use of resources within the established budget.

o Administer program budget, materials, communications, marketing, and promotions to ensure optimum program/event exposure, registrations, and sponsorships.

o Organize monthly committee meetings and create minutes following each meeting.
? Various Masonry Industry Competitions
? Works closely with AMC Staff to plan, organize & execute within budget guidelines industry competitions and training workshops. Including, but not limited to: SkillsUSA AZ Masonry Competition, Fastest Trowel & Masonry Skills Challenge, and the Annual Train-the-trainer workshop for secondary & post-secondary construction instructors.

? Staff Support

o Reports directly to the AMC Executive Director on the status of Apprenticeship, and Workforce/Community Outreach.

o Works with AMC Staff to execute and facilitate the annual Excellence in Masonry Architectural Banquet, Annual Meeting, and any other membership events.

o Works with AMC Staff to create and produce association newsletters, website content and social media posts.

o Works with AMC Staff in planning membership meetings, lunches and mixers as needed.

o Supports various other Association efforts as assigned by the Executive Director and/or the AMC Board of Directors.

Minimum Qualifications

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills

o Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

o Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

o Six (6) or more years of professional experience (non-profit setting experience preferred)

o High School diploma/GED required, bachelor?s degree or higher a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
