The Library Special Services Coordinator for Community Workforce Development is responsible for supporting the business and workforce needs of Leon County residents. This role involves identifying employment and business needs, proposing and initiating services and programs, and assisting library users with various services. The coordinator will work closely with local organizations and patrons to enhance workforce development efforts and provide excellent customer service while upholding the library's mission and values.
Responsibilities
? Support community workforce development efforts.

? Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services related to business and workforce development.

? Identify funding opportunities and work with the Library's Grants and Contracts Specialist to secure funding.
,
? Build and maintain partnerships with local organizations supporting business and workforce development.
,
? Coordinate one-on-one assistance to patrons with job skill development and digital literacy.
,
? Make recommendations for the addition of workforce development and business materials to the library's collection.
,
? Provide patron assistance in using the online catalog and other online library account features.
,
? Assist patrons in locating library materials and offer alternative services when items are not found.
,
? Assist patrons with answers to informational questions in person, by telephone, and electronically.
,
? Perform collection maintenance activities such as promoting displays and deselecting outdated materials.
,
? Provide assistance with public access computers and other technology.
,
? Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems as they occur.
,
? Schedule use of presentation equipment and instruct patrons and staff in proper use of equipment.

? Plan, market, and implement programs for various age groups.
,
? Provide community outreach services through presentations promoting literacy and library use.

? Participate in professional development activities and agency meetings.
Requirements
? Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business-related field.
,
? 2 years of experience or six years of job-related experience.
,
? Possession of a valid Class 'E' State of Florida Driver's License with a favorable driving record.
,
? Knowledge of customer service practices in a library setting.
,
? Ability to train and communicate effectively with others.
,
? Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
,
? Knowledge of PC and computer software.
Nice-to-haves
? Experience in software troubleshooting.

? Computer literacy in a Windows environment.
Benefits
? Full-time position with a salary range of $18.42 - $30.40 an hour.
