This role involves the work of assuring the successful execution and completion of large-scale projects using project management standards, processes, and tools. The Project Manager leads project teams in clearly defining project goals, deliverables, risks, and critical success factors; understanding and using project portfolio management and project management tools and systems; in executing project coordination processes in the context of those systems; and in tracking work breakdown structures, team member assignments, and the status of individual tasks. The Project Manager conducts outreach and training as needed to improve project management practices in the organization.

Assure the successful execution and completion of large-scale projects using project management standards, processes, and tools.
Leads project teams in clearly defining project goals, deliverables, risks, and critical success factors.
Leads project teams in the tracking of work breakdown structures, team member assignments, and the status of individual tasks. Perform other duties as assigned.
Participates in approved professional development opportunities per NWRDC's policy. Professional development and training are defined as learning undertaken by the employee to maintain and advance their skills, knowledge and competencies, specifically as they relate and add value to the job and workplace.
NWRDC provides support for a wide range of state and local government, as well K- 20 organizations across the State of Florida. These organizations are dependent on NWRDC in order to accomplish their missions. This requires NWRDC to maintain services 24x7, even during times of crisis or emergency. As such, all NWRDC staff are considered essential staff for operations of the State of Florida.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to eight years.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer experience managing IT projects at various levels.
Considerations
This is an A&P position.
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
Primarily Remote - This position has been designated as eligible for primarily remote based on the current position/job functions. Employees are required to live in the Tallahassee area and report to campus as needed.
