Your Role:

As a Dance Teacher, you will have the opportunity to:
? Ignite a passion for dance by developing and delivering engaging instruction that fosters creativity, technical skill, and an appreciation for diverse dance genres.
? Cultivate a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to explore their potential as a dancer.
? Guide students in developing essential dance skills, including technique, choreography, performance, and dance history/theory.
? Create lesson plans that align with district standards and bring dance to life for students of varying abilities and interests.
? Collaborate with school staff to integrate dance into the broader curriculum and enrich the school community through performances, events, and showcases.
? Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with parents to support their child's artistic development.
? Maintain classroom control sufficient to permit other students to learn without undue interference, to provide for the safety of others, and to protect school property.

Qualifications: ? Valid CA Single Subject Dance credential with English Language Learner authorization. Or, valid Single Subject PE credential with authorization code PEX or PE (issued prior to 2022) with an English Language Learner authorization. ? Valid California Teaching Credential, valid English Language Learner Authorization required. ? Bachelor's degree, including courses needed to meet credential requirements and student teaching classroom experience.

Details:
? Salary: $63,947-$124,659 Annually + $2,000 Master's Degree Stipend, $2,000 Doctorate Stipend. $4,500 Hiring Bonus Incentive Final placement determined upon receipt of official sealed transcripts and verification of prior contracted teaching experience.
? Length of Work Year: 186 days. Days of work as per contract. Hours of work as per District Board Policy #5042.
? Employment Type: Full Time, may be full-time or part time.
? School Year: 2025-2026
? FLSA: Exempt
? Board Approved: 7/8/14
? Salary Grade: Core Certificated Salary Schedule 1
? Immediate Supervisor: Building principal or such person as shall be delegated.
? Working Conditions: This position will include office and school environments.
