Salary is determined per the SF Salary Schedule .
Under general supervision, the Adjunct Assistant Professor,
Business Administration will develop, prepare, and teach business
program courses. Faculty may be assigned to SF's new Blount Center,
the main Northwest campus or housed at any of the College's six
educational centers within Alachua and Bradford counties.
Additionally, course offerings may be taught during the day,
evening, or online, as well as taught using other distance learning
formats. Candidates must have the flexibility to teach at any one
of these different sites and at different times throughout the
academic year.
Responsibilities and Duties
? Plan, organize, and deliver instruction in didactic, laboratory
and/or classroom settings to promote student success within a
community college setting.
? Support and promote the college and departmental missions
centered on excellence in teaching and learning through quality
instruction, curriculum enhancement, and service.
? Collaborate with department chair, faculty, and peers to
evaluate, revise, and develop curriculum to cultivate the mastery
of course content.
? Strictly honor the privacy and security of student records and
other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal
and college regulations, policies and procedures.
? Provide students with frequent, timely assessment of and clear
feedback regarding academic performance.
? Appropriately document student progress and maintain records
including attendance, grading and student learning outcomes.
? Develop methods that fairly and accurately assess students'
progress in achieving the stated learning outcomes/objectives.
? Maintain appropriate office hours proportionate to the
instructional assignment.
? Provide service excellence through courteous, informed,
accessible and professional engagement.
? Perform other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Academic Chair, Business Programs
Qualifications
Required: A Master's degree in a qualifying academic major,
including Business, Management, Administration, Marketing, Human
Resources, Supervision, International Business/Studies,
Organizational Behavior/Studies, Industrial/Organizational
Psychology, Global Management OR a Master's degree with eighteen
(18) graduate course hours in the qualifying fields of business is
required.
Preferred: Candidates with teaching experience and the
ability to incorporate appropriate instructional technology into
coursework are preferred. Candidates who can be credentialed in
various business disciplines are preferred.
General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The Adjunct Assistant must have the ability to deliver a high level
of interactive customer service, develop and maintain collaborative
relationships throughout the organization, communicate effectively
and possess proficient computer skills, including familiarity with
the Microsoft Suite of Office Applications. The successful
applicant must be willing to work a flexible schedule at multiple
sites, as well as demonstrate the ability to work well with
students, faculty and staff at all levels within a diverse,
multi-cultural, collaborative environment.
