Salary Range: Up to $72,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours: 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions
Cybersecurity Operations SOC Analyst II is a tier 2 level position within the Cybersecurity Operations Center (SOC).
Core Responsibilities
? Provide effective security monitoring through triage, investigation, containment and communication of security incidents to include validation of incidents as needed and performing the deeper dives into events and incidents for mitigation of events.
? Serve as a mentor and escalation point for junior analysts.
? Develop processes, SOP's, workflows and playbooks.
? May lead dedicated team(s) for Threat Hunting, Pen Testing, Red Teams, etc.as required.
? Inform or advise CSO Management on incidents and incident prevention methodologies.
? Assist in identifying opportunities to improve internal processes and tools for operational capabilities or efficiencies.
? Provide Tier 2 support, following processes and interacting appropriately with both other analysts, customers and partners when required.
? Perform Cybersecurity Operations Analyst duties as required.
? Participate in appropriate opportunities for continuing education, seminars, organizations, etc.

Required Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering or related field.
? One year of related experience.
? Individual technical Cyber Security Certification through a recognized body, CompTIA's Security+ or equivalent, within 180 days of obtaining position.
? Experience managing & analyzing alerts from security tools.
? Experience in a SOC, Security Analyst position, or equivalent.
? Knowledge of common operating systems (e.g. Windows, macOS, Linux).
? Understanding of networking concepts.
? Acute analytical skills.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
? In depth knowledge of current threats, vulnerabilities, and recent cyber-attacks.
? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
? Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
? Knowledge of interpreting and analyzing vulnerability scan results.
? Excellent organization, problem resolution and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
? One year of experience or academic equivalent in scripting/programming languages such as Python or PowerShell.

Working Conditions
Working Environment:
? Office Environment.
? Requires use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
? Work requires flexibility of hours to include evenings and weekends as needed.
? Occasional travel may be required.
Physical Demands:
? Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
? Ex. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasional.
This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
