HVAC Testing, Adjusting and Balancing TAB Technician (Experienced)

RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibility of the TAB technician is to understand the technical requirements of testing, adjusting and balancing HVAC systems and apply them as directed by their assigned Project Leader for individual projects.
1. Read the proposal / contract to understand and follow the project scope as well as ensure the equipment on the project is tested as outlined by the proposal / contract. Identify project requirements to any assigned personnel and ensure they are meeting the project requirements.
2. You will be expected to travel during your employment. You will be provided per diem for travel for eligible projects. Travel is anticipated to be 25% - 75%, while being back in town for the weekends.
3. Plan out the daily work schedule and goals. Ensure the goals are met and have a backup plan for when projects aren?t ready as indicated.
4. Maintain current electronic files for the project. Record / document test data and deficiencies and populate the deficiency logs. Assemble draft TAB report for project manager review and implement corrections prior to final submission.
5. Responsible for tracking lost time in the form of a TAB delay report and submitting to the project manager for change order / discussion.
6. Assist the Project Manager in completing projects successfully (on time and on / under budget) and with monthly project projections.
7. Provide weekly email updates to the client based on progress. Attend weekly project coordination meetings on a contractor level.
8. Perform Client Maintenance to generate sales.
9. You will be assigned a set of tools. It is your responsibility to keep track of and take care of this set of tools.
10. Keep up with timesheets on a daily basis and direct hourly questions to Project Manager.
11. Prepare field documentation correctly and efficiently.
12. Follow construction industry safety guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. High school diploma
2. Must be able to pass routine drug testing and willing to submit to a federal criminal background check.
3. Must be a United States Citizen or in the process of becoming a naturalized Citizen.
4. This is not an entry level position. Previous TAB experience is required.
5. Good verbal, written communications skills are important. Verbal skills include direct eye contact, a firm handshake, good posture, and clear speech. Written communication should be typewritten when possible. Candidate should have good penmanship and legible hand writing.
6. Good coordination and desire to work with your hands.
7. Good understanding of High School Level Algebra and basic Math concepts such as fractions, ratios, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing, working with exponents and root functions.
8. Working knowledge of Microsoft office products including Word and Excel. Working understanding of PDF?s and cloud computing is a plus. Basic understanding of computers and information technology.
9. Desire and ability to grow in responsibilities and proactively seek training and learning opportunities.
10. Stable career-oriented work history and the desire and commitment to grow with our company over the long term.
11. Must have a cell phone capable of phone calls, texts, and utilization of apps/data.
12. Must have a means of transportation for arriving to and departing from project sites or office.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 ? 60 per week
