About the position

As a Dishwasher at the Delta Center, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen work areas. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all kitchen equipment and utensils are kept in an orderly and sanitary condition, contributing to the overall efficiency and hygiene of the kitchen environment. This position is essential in supporting the culinary team and ensuring that all food service operations run smoothly. You will be part of a dynamic team that values creativity, impeccable service, and a passion for great food, all while working in a fast-paced environment that caters to a variety of events and guests. In this role, you will be responsible for scrapping and rinsing food from dirty dishes, washing them either by hand or using a dishwashing machine, depending on the assigned equipment. You will also wash pots, pans, and trays according to established procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation. Additionally, you will polish silverware using various methods and maintain compliance with safety procedures, including monitoring temperatures and chemical levels as per provided standards. Keeping the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards is a key aspect of your duties, along with sweeping and mopping kitchen floors to uphold sanitation standards. Your responsibilities will also include washing worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces, as well as removing trash and ensuring proper disposal. You will assist in transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas and help load and unload supplies and products as needed. This position may also involve performing other duties as assigned by your supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the kitchen operations.

Responsibilities
? Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment.

? Washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures.

? Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures.

? Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures.
,
? Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
,
? Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
,
? Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
,
? Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
,
? Removes trash and places it in designated containers.
,
? Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
,
? Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
,
? Helps load and unload supplies and product.
,
? Performs other duties as assigned.
