Performs highly advanced and supervisory (senior-level) cybersecurity analysis work providing direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning. Work involves overseeing cybersecurity programs and environments; the prevention, detection, and remediation of cybersecurity threats and intrusions; cybersecurity policies and monitoring protocols; and leading the development of a security plan, emphasizing technical infrastructure and long-term risk mitigation. May supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Incumbents in the classification are required to be on-call on a rotating basis, available to work limited evening and weekends.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
? Provides advanced-level Systems Analyst and System Administration work on enterprise cybersecurity software and systems.
? Serves as the primary technical expert on cybersecurity policy.
? Documents, implements and revises cybersecurity policies and procedures.
? Leads other technical staff and system users in the technical design, specification, and support of mission-critical security systems.
? Collaborates with technical staff and users to analyze cybersecurity processes and translates them into detailed technical requirements for the design of software systems and their sub-components.
? Provide guidance to other information technology staff on cybersecurity-related technical issues.
? Oversees cybersecurity management initiatives.
? Oversees detection activities and advises on cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
? Oversees the initiation, implementation, and development of incident response plans and recovery programs; evaluates and obtains forensics tools; reviews intrusion and misuse detection reports; and provides guidance for corrective action.
? Develops and implement appropriate safeguards to ensure system resiliency.
? Develops cybersecurity awareness training programs for employees, contractors, and users; and facilitates cyber preparedness exercises.
? Delivers cybersecurity awareness training.
? Monitors and analyzes cybersecurity alerts from cybersecurity tools, network devices, and information systems.
? Monitors and maintains cybersecurity infrastructure, policies, and procedures to protect information systems from unauthorized use.
? Performs vulnerability scans of networks and applications to assess their effectiveness and identify weaknesses.
? Defines plans; organizes designs; develops, modifies, tests, and integrates database or computer hardware systems to protect against cyber threats.
? Performs other duties as assigned.
