Job Overview:
The Technical Delivery Manager plans, executes, and finalizes solutions for systems projects, products, modules, and services. They set technical milestones, coordinate efforts among business units, vendors, Digital team, and CIS teams to deliver projects efficiently. They work with all management levels to implement project-based processes using industry standards. Responsibilities include system integration planning, issue tracking, risk mitigation, and driving projects to completion. Additionally, they oversee IT Operations service strategies, prioritize IT Service Management backlogs, collaborate across teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through continuous process improvements.
Responsibilities:?? ? Engage with various business units and project sponsors to establish success criteria for projects. ? Define, create, and execute technical project plans for prioritization and implementation. ? Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the project lifecycle. ? Track and communicate project status across the organizational hierarchy. ? Manage SDLC, implement project frameworks, agile methods, and best practices to boost team efficiency. ? Manage all technical aspects in collaboration with the CIS, Digital, and vendors on enhancing, refactoring and upgrading the technology stack. ? Oversee and implement several projects simultaneously, while establishing and upholding technical project management standards within the organization. ? Plan and coordinate projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that goals and objectives are achieved within the prescribed timeframe and budget. ? Proactively identify risks and resolve issues to prevent project delays and re-work. ? Maintain detailed project documentation on scope, decisions, risks, configurations, and deployments. Lead team members to deliver timely and effective technical solutions aligned with organizational goals. ? Experience in a PMO or Transformation Office is preferred. ? Take responsibility for continuous performance monitoring, training, and professional development needs of team members supporting the service. Collaborate with IT Talent Specialists as required. ? Implement IT service policies to achieve the required maturity level. Identify gaps between desired and current levels of compliance and maturity in IT Operations. ? Assist IT Risk and Compliance in monitoring IT service management controls. Collaborate with Enterprise Cybersecurity to comply with security policies. ? Collaborate with the Disaster Recovery Service Manager to ensure Disaster Recovery Plans are up-to-date and testing meets the required Recovery Time Objective and Recovery Point Objective. ? Communicate effectively with all levels of management across the organization in both technical and non-technical capacities. ? Actively participate in required corporate professional development programs. ? Manage the PMO and Ops team members to deliver best user experience. ? Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. ? Be prepared to handle additional duties as required. Requirements:? ? Bachelor?s degree required in Computer Science or Information Technology ? PMI PMP/Agile CSM Certification preferred. (Six Sigma certification and implementation is a plus). ? Experience in insurance, particularly in life insurance, is highly advantageous. ? Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project/Program manager or equivalent. ? Experience with ITIL processes and ServiceNow preferred. ? Demonstrated experience in project management principles, methodologies & best practices. ? Experience with enterprise business application systems, cross platform integrations and architecture. ? Experience with business process analysis and the application of information technology to solving business needs. ? Strong organizational, interpersonal, communications skills and experience working with people at a variety of levels within the organization. ? Superior analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills. ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ? Ability to interpret burn down charts and SCRUM/Kanban boards to show progress. ? Ability to work outside of normal business hours. Total Rewards: ?
