The office of the Vice President provides leadership and direction across IFC?s Treasury and Mobilization functions including IFC?s capital markets and investments, treasury client solutions, syndicated loans and mobilization, equity mobilization (the asset management company), and treasury analytics. The office of the Vice President is seeking an Associate Learning Officer who will be responsible for the ongoing design and implementation of the VPU learning strategy, the development and management of comprehensive training curriculum, and will support career development initiatives to enhance staff skills and capabilities. The Officer will coordinate with HR and leadership to assess learning needs, organize and design training programs, workshops, and leadership development sessions, and ensure the effective delivery of learning initiatives. Additionally, they will represent CFI VPU in corporate learning initiatives and collaborate with WBG communities to promote cross-institutional learning and career growth opportunities. This role requires strong program management, stakeholder engagement, and a passion for learning and development.

Roles and Responsibilities

CFI VPU-Level Learning Activities

? Ongoing design and implementation of the CFI VPU Learning Strategy, focusing on career growth, professional development, and skills enhancement.
? Collaborate with the VPU?s HR Business Partner and leadership to assess staff learning needs, career trajectories, and align Professional Development Objectives with organizational priorities.
? Serve as the focal point for learning in hub offices, assessing field office colleagues? needs and implementing tailored learning solutions.
? Develop and manage a comprehensive learning curriculum, covering standard, advanced, and new learning modules aligned with VPU priorities.
? Design and deliver new learning courses in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring content effectiveness.
? Coordinate with facilitators and subject matter experts to ensure effective course delivery and smooth execution.
? Organize workshops, speaker series, and leadership development sessions to foster a continuous learning culture.
? Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of learning initiatives, leveraging feedback and assessment tools for continuous improvement.
? Provide guidance to administrative assistants to manage logistics, scheduling, and operational support for learning programs.
? Track and report on staff participation in internal and external training programs, ensuring records are accurately maintained in OLC.
? Generate analytics and reports on learning participation, effectiveness, and impact for leadership and stakeholders.

IFC / WBG - Level Learning & Career Development Initiatives

? Act as the primary liaison between CFI VPU and IFC?s Corporate Knowledge & Learning (KML) department.
? Work closely with the KML Board (Director-level) to ensure alignment of CFI VPU?s contributions with IFC-wide learning priorities.
? Facilitate the creation and dissemination of learning materials, ensuring adherence to IFC?s corporate standards and best practices.
? Develop and maintain a collaborative program framework between IFC?s CFI VPU and other relevant WBG units by organizing cross-unit learning events and exploring and implementing career development programs between the units.
? Represent CFI VPU in FCAP, working closely with the FCAP lead (Director-level).
? Coordinate career development and mobility initiatives, promoting internal talent awareness and opportunities (lateral, vertical, external).
? Promote knowledge-sharing and career development best practices across the Finance community.
? Represent CFI VPU in the WBG Community of Finance & Risk Professionals, working closely with the community lead (Director-level) to support relationship-building, career development, and learning activities, and collaborating with Finance and Risk units across WBG.
? Coordinate community engagement initiatives, knowledge exchange events, workshops, and leadership forums.

Selection Criteria

? Master?s degree in a relevant field such as Education, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or International Studies, with a background in learning design or instructional design being a plus.
? A minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably designing and delivering learning programs, career development initiatives, or talent management in an international or finance-related context.
? Proven experience in developing and implementing learning strategies, integrating technology into training programs, and delivering innovative learning solutions.
? Demonstrated success in designing and delivering learning programs globally, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and addressing critical skill gaps.
? Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with a track record of leading complex learning initiatives, curriculum development, and technology-enhanced training solutions.
? Proficiency in leveraging digital tools and AI-driven solutions, including interactive dashboards, digital learning platforms, multimedia-based knowledge sharing, and content automation.
? Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and present findings to senior leadership in innovative and dynamic ways to drive results and decision-making.
? Innovative use of multimedia tools to showcase CFI VPU functions and business, enhancing visibility and understanding among new hires, and across other WBG teams.
? Comfortable working with senior leadership to develop and execute learning strategies, training programs, and career development initiatives that support staff growth and business objectives.
? Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams, departments, and institutions within the World Bank Group and external partners.
? Highly effective communicator, capable of engaging diverse audiences, facilitating discussions, and promoting knowledge-sharing initiatives.
? Strong ability to assess learning needs and measure effectiveness, using survey development, data collection, and technology to inform decision-making and improve learning outcomes.
? Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional projects, including onboarding, mentoring, structured career development programs, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to foster an inclusive learning culture.
? Ability to multi-task and work towards tight deadlines
? Highly motivated, results-oriented self-starter with proven capacity for teamwork
? Understanding of the business of CFI VPU and its operations is a plus.
