Overview: The Trust Officer is an experienced fiduciary professional with an understanding of how to interpret trust provisions, comply with bank procedures, and provide exceptional customer service. The Trust Officer is primarily responsible for administering and managing a book of fiduciary accounts for high-net-worth clients and beneficiaries in accordance with the governing documents, and applicable laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include overseeing the administration and business development of complex investment management and trust accounts and working with team members to assure trust product awareness and education of clients, associates, and Centers of Influence. Job expectations include working with teams to drive business development and retention, assisting clients with wealth planning needs, and managing risk. Responsibilities: Managing all aspects of fiduciary administration for assigned accounts including, but not limited to, serving as liaison among beneficiaries, co-trustees, investment advisors, tax preparers, legal department, operations personnel, customer?s trusted advisors, and the like. Exercising professional judgement when making discretionary decisions, managing risk, and interpreting applicable documents, regulations, and policies. Working with Trust Officers, Fiduciary Management, and Legal to reach solutions in the best interest of the beneficiaries. Participating in Trust Administrative Committee meetings as a valuable and voting member. Ensuring compliance with terms of the governing documents, laws and regulations, and Texas Capital policies and procedures. Collaborating with Private Bank partners to identify and develop new fiduciary business opportunities and expand existing relationships. Keen understanding of specialized fiduciary account opening and closing, maintenance, money movement. Supports select ancillary investment managed accounts of trust clients. Delivering timely and high-quality experience to interactions with customers, prospects, and their trusted advisors. Qualifications: Solid communication skills, verbal and written, with customers, beneficiaries, internal partners, and third parties from various backgrounds and experience. Resourceful and able to take initiative. Collaborates with and assists other Trust Officers. Effective team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. Ability to manage competing responsibilities, anticipate business needs, and access the necessary tools and resources. Advanced ability to develop, cultivate and maintain client relationships with increased complexity. Advanced ability to interact, negotiate and influence at more senior levels of the organization. Ability to manage competing priorities on concurrent large, complex fiduciary projects and initiatives. Demonstrates expected utilization of Salesforce and drives towards critical metrics. Requirements: 3-5 years' experience with a trust company or financial institution focusing on professional fiduciary services.
