Delta Dental Plan of Michigan, Inc. seeks a full-time Software Designer/Implementer (EDI) based in Farmington Hills, MI. The primary duty of the Software Designer/Implementer (EDI) is to contribute to analysis and design speci?cations, and perform programming and testing of system components (WebLogic, Java, .Net, etc.). This position engages with users, peers and other domain/feature team members to ensure standards are followed. This position collaborates across ISS and the Business as needed. Specific duties include: 1) Participate in the analysis (HIPAA EDI), design, and development of technical speci?cations, programming, and testing of application components. Contribute to the maintenance of analysis and design models. 2) Apply comprehension of the distribution of systems across physical nodes, de?nition of run-time architecture, concurrency requirements, inter-process communication mechanisms, and process lifecycles. 3) Participate in peer code reviews and can comprehend and implement enterprise programming standards and guidelines; participate in story card re?nement and code craft development. 4) Adhere to deployment activities, automated testing practices, and secure coding practices as de?ned by enterprise coding standards. (Veracode, SonarQube, etc.). 5) Assist the Senior or Lead SDI with issue resolution, scalability metrics, integration issues, and response to critical production issues as required. 6) Apply an understanding of business requirements and how the delivery of high quality working software meeting those requirements delivers value to the enterprise. Position is a hybrid position with an in-office requirement. Worker must live within a commutable distance of Farmington Hills, MI and be able to work in-office as required. #LI-DNI Minimum Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor?s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in applications design and programming. Must also have three (3) years of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: 1) contributing to analysis and design speci?cations, and perform programming and testing of system components (WebLogic, Java, .Net, etc.). 2) utilizing knowledge of HIPAA EDI transactions, encryption methods; relational database concepts, SQL; 3) applying knowledge of object oriented programming concepts and design patterns; 4) working with service oriented architecture and distributed systems; 5) participating in peer code reviews and comprehending and implementing enterprise programming standards and guidelines; participating in story card re?nement and code craft development. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Experience must have been acquired after completion of the Bachelor?s Degree program. Position is a hybrid position with an in-office requirement.
