Job Summary The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific CEC projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. The Project Manager will manage both corporate and department-level projects with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage Cross-Departmental Projects
Develop project documentation with information about project sponsor(s), stakeholders, potential costs, assumptions, constraints and project scope.
Develop MS Project plan with timelines, phases, resources and milestones.
Provide direction and support to project team; assemble and coordinate project staff
Facilitate communication between the Customer Engagement Center and other business units by attending project meetings, sending status updates, scheduling meetings, and creating/distributing meeting minutes.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and devise contingency plans.
Create and deliver executive-level updates/PowerPoint presentations.
Develop final results summary upon project completion.
Address project follow up tasks as needed
Manage Department Projects

Process Improvement
Recommend, develop, and/or implement process improvements
Develop and improve upon Project Management tools and processes.
Regularly undertake self-development activities
Staff member is expected to consistently adhere to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to their job as listed. Staff member will not repeatedly act in a manner signifying intentional or willful noncompliance, nor exhibit gross negligence or a general disregard for compliance and regulatory standards. Staff member must ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Staff member must complete all required compliance training on a timely basis. Staff member will maintain knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar?s internal compliance policies and procedures. Staff member must take responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.
Job Requirements:
HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent
Bachelors Degree or Comparable Work Experience preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
5+ years direct work experience with all aspects of project development and execution
Prior call center and/or mortgage/retail banking experience preferred
Ability to communicate project goals and statuses to all levels of management verbally and in writing.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to adapt to new demands and challenges.
Must have good sense of urgency, dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of both internal and external customers.
Must be team-oriented and highly organized.
Proven excellence in written and oral communications.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management and other departments.
Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management
