SUMMARY

In this position, you will represent WesBanco Securities in an assigned branch-based territory, responsible for securities production goals in those branches. You will provide investment counseling to bank and non-bank clients, offering products including mutual funds, annuities, and fee-based accounts.

The advisor must possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with bank partners at all levels. Proactivity and generating business are essential, as well as cultivating relationships with branch employees and partners.

Providing service that differentiates us from competitors.

Must possess proven sales skills, be proactive, and generate opportunities.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

Investment Sales is highly regulated; the advisor must acquire and maintain proficiency in Bank's and FINRA policies and procedures, adhering to applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Professional demeanor, appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic, and attitude.

Clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to express thoughts, ideas, and concepts to bank employees and customers.

Ability to analyze, comprehend, and act according to various regulatory entities.

Interacting professionally with Bank business partners and customers.

Strong organizational and planning skills.

Confidentiality and self-motivation.

Ability to handle travel to assigned offices.

CLERICAL SKILLS:

General clerical duties and operating departmental equipment.

Proficiency using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).

Learning software systems for work responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prospecting clients to establish business relationships.

Profiling clients and recommending suitable investment and insurance solutions.

Providing great client experience to all clients and prospects.

Opening investment and insurance accounts, managing customer service requests, transfers, exchanges, and transactions.

Participating in seminars, branch training, and community events.

Cross-referring clients for bank offered services.

Coaching and training Senior and Licensed Personal Bankers and branch employees.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Banking industry regulation; acquiring and maintaining Bank's policies and procedures proficiency, adhering to applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

State Life & Health insurance licenses and FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) required.

Knowledge of core investment products, including fixed and variable annuities, and mutual funds.

Fundamental understanding of Bank services and operations.

Market knowledge.

Experience in investment sales or related fields.

Coaching, mentoring, and developing others preferred.
