of Maximum Submissions 2 8 Job Description SPECIFIC TASKS
5.1 The contractor shall provide computer support and services to the 7 MDG in accordance with approved Government procedures. The contractor shall not introduce new computer applications without prior approval of the Chief Information Officer. Support and services include, but is not limited to, the following duties:
5.1.1 Performs software installation duties
5.1.2 Provides services in association with the installation, movement, maintenance, and accountability of hardware items
5.1.3 Performs configuration of computer system components
5.1.4 Installs and removes software packages to include operating system, office automation, and special purpose software
5.1.5 Loads appropriate peripheral drives for each software package to ensure compatibility with attached items
5.1.6 Takes preventive actions to preclude recurring problems or system inefficiencies
5.1.7 Confers with section personnel or associated staff on recurring irregularities in system
5.1.8 Notifies affected customers of delays in schedules and/or processing
5.1.9 Provides guidance and assistance to customers
5.1.10 Assists customers in the effective usage of software packages and equipment
5.1.11 Recommends preventive actions to customers to preclude recurring problems or system inefficiencies
5.1.12 Resolves customer problems and answers questions related to improper input, procedures, instructions, database errors, and software or hardware problems
5.1.13 Ensures equipment and software applications are tested within timeframes that allow timely decisions to be made
5.1.14 Performs adequate testing of new, modified, or off-the-shelf software to determine capability with other computer equipment
5.1.15 Utilizes troubleshooting skills to promptly isolate, repair and/or eradicate software, hardware or network-related faults
5.1.16 Create and maintain Local Area Network accounts
5.1.17 Authorizes users, maintains access controls and performs ongoing security review
5.1.18 Promotes and publicizes security awareness concerning unauthorized or illegal use of computer hardware and software
5.1.19 Ensures correspondence and documents have correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation and format
5.1.20 Establishes, maintains, purges and disposes of office records/files in accordance with regulations and procedures
5.1.21 Consults with flight leaders regarding work orders outside of performance work statement duties to ensure completion by flight personnel
5.1.22 Assists office personnel in answering incoming telephone work orders
5.1.23 All tasks must be entered into work order system prior to being performed
5.1.24 Complies with all guidance, to include the mission (7 BW/7 MDG goals), customer evaluations, formal/informal self-inspections, AFI, MGI, HSI, AAAHC requirements, guidance, instructions, recommendations and/or checklists
5.2 Special Qualifications: Completion of Associates Degree in IT-related area or two years of experience in duties comparable to Job Summary required; proof of current Basic Life Support Training completion as required by the MTF or ability to successfully achieve training provided by 7MDG within 30 calendar days of employment start date. Contract personnel shall be thoroughly knowledgeable of common IT issues as well as professional communication skills prior to start of work. Completion of A+ Essentials and IT Technicians Certifications are required in accordance with DOD 8570.01M.
The Contractor shall provide the Government documentation relating to proposed personnel's Basic Life Support (BLS) currency status, experience, education, training, and technical expertise prior to the start of the performance period
After contract award, in the event of a projected contract vacancy, the Contractor shall provide the documents no later than 30 days prior to the date of projected fill of the vacancy. BLS may be completed at the MTF by Education and Training section within 30 days of the start of employment.
5.3 Performance Requirements
5.3.1 General Work Order Completion
The contractor shall review new work order requests similar to those outlined in 5.1 and prioritize response times by urgency of request at the discretion of the contractor unless otherwise outlined by Information Systems Flight leadership. Support shall be provided for PC software, hardware and/or peripherals according to urgency and order of receipt. Communication shall be provided to the customer in the event of a delay.
5.3.1.1 Hardware and Software Installation
The contractor shall install hardware, software and peripheral devices, including software patches and security fixes as required by 7th Communications Squadron. This installation can include in-house and off-the-shelf applications approved by the 7th Communication Squadron. The contractor shall provide basic instruction on use of hardware, software and peripherals such as Windows Operating System, Internet Browsers, E-Mail, Desktop Publishing, Office Suites, CD-RW drives, printers, and scanners.
5.3.2 Inventory and Hardware Maintenance
The contractor shall notify 7th Medical Group Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) Custodian of all IT hardware, software, peripherals and telecommunications equipment updates due to any changes incurred during the contractor's completion of work orders. All inventoried equipment shall be handled in accordance with policies, regulations and standards set by the 7th Medical Group ADPE Custodian under the guidance established by the 7th Communications Squadron.
5.3.3 Contractor shall maintain warranty knowledge on hardware, software, peripherals and telecommunications equipment and arrange for maintenance in accordance with warranty, if available.
5.3.4 Miscellaneous: Contractor shall utilize all precautions in receiving and moving equipment, ensuring safety of self and others. All packaging material shall be disposed of properly
The contractor may be required to attend training sessions and meetings as deemed appropriate by Contracting Officer or COR.
5.3.4.1 Infection Control and Safety. Contract personnel shall comply with all MTF infection control and safety procedures, practices, and standards.
5.3.4.2. Establishes and maintains open communication with MTF personnel
The contractor shall inform Government staff of leave requests with as much advance notice as possible. The contractor shall annotate projected days off or appointments on shared calendar.
5.3.4.3 Other. The contractor shall complete other education and training duties as needed, as new requirements come online, or for mission readiness
