Production Shop Maintenance Mechanic
Posted 2025-04-24We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Industrial Maintenance Mechanic with expertise in PLC and CNC troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and replacing broken mechanical and electrical issues relating to fabrication production equipment to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting complex machinery and equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficient production. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in industrial maintenance and experience with automated systems, including PLC and CNC machines.
Responsibilities: ?Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on industrial machinery, including CNC machines, PLC systems, conveyors, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatic equipment. ?Use PLC programming and diagnostics to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and system issues, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. ?Conduct in-depth diagnostics and repair of CNC equipment, including controllers, drives, and motors, and ensure precision operations. ?Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to determine equipment issues and implement solutions. ?Maintain and repair industrial automation systems and assist with updates to control systems. ?Work closely with the production team to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions or inefficiencies. ?Support the installation and setup of new equipment and machinery. ?Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards in all maintenance and repair activities. ?Monitor and maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and tools to ensure quick repairs. ?Perform root cause analysis on recurring machine issues and provide recommendations for long-term solutions.
Requirements: ?Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, with a focus on troubleshooting and diagnosing PLC and CNC machinery. ?Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. ?Hands-on experience with PLCs, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and basic programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.). ?Experience with CNC machines, including diagnosing issues with controllers, motors, and drives. ?Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics. ?Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ?Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial settings. ?Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete maintenance tasks. ?Strong communication skills to interact with various departments and team members. ?Availability for on-call work or overtime as needed. ?High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in industrial maintenance, PLC programming, or CNC operation preferred.
