Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Posted 2025-04-24JOB SUMMARY: Join our dedicated team as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) where you will provide vital pre-hospital basic life support care and transportation to those in need. You will operate under the highest practice standards to ensure efficient and timely care for the sick and injured.
EQUIPMENT:
As an EMT, you will utilize a range of essential equipment including, but not limited to:
?Ambulance
?Stretcher and spinal immobilization equipment
?Basic airway management devices
?Intravenous fluid therapy equipment
?Suction devices
?Bandaging materials
?Communication equipment such as radios
?And additional medical equipment as introduced.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position entails a variety of crucial functions which include: ?Performing thorough patient assessments for signs and symptoms of injury or illness and collaborating with medical personnel. ?Administering basic life support care promptly and efficiently within your certification limits and according to established protocols. ?Ensuring safe patient handling and transportation to medical facilities. ?Accurately documenting all patient conditions and treatments on EMS run reports. ?Conducting regular checks and inventories of equipment to ensure readiness. ?Driving the ambulance safely while adhering to company driving guidelines. ?Completing duties related to ambulance maintenance and cleanliness. ?Participating in mandatory meetings and training sessions. ?Attempting to control the scene of patient emergencies, if qualified personnel are unavailable. ?Providing education and guidance to EMT-Basic students and new hires if approved as a Field Training Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS: ?High School Diploma or GED. ?National and/or State certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic. ?Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association. ?Valid driver? license that meets state requirements. ?Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written. ?Familiarity with company protocols and safety policies. ?Able to drive large vehicles under various conditions.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: ?Comprehensive orientation to the role and responsibilities.

EMT-Intermediate, EMT-Paramedic, Operations Supervisor, Operations Manager, Vice President of Operations.
